Today the LGAQ met with the Acting Premier and senior representatives from the departments of Main Roads, Local Government and the Attorney General to discuss the need to address implications for RMPCs arising from the Goondiwindi v Tait court decision.
The meeting focused on developing an interim solution as a matter of priority, while work continues on a longer-term solution.
A further meeting will be held by the end of the week. We will keep members updated on this critical issue with a further update to follow at the end of this week.
