About LGAQ events
The Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) is 100% council-owned and has been advising, supporting and representing local government since 1896.
Our events are designed and targeted to inform, engage and guide those working in and leading our 77 local councils so they are best prepared to lead their communities.
Some of our regular events include Bush Councils Convention, Disaster Management Conference, Waste Forums and LGx Media & Communications Seminar. Our premier and largest event each year is our three-day Annual Conference, which brings together councils from across the State for professional development and networking, the Annual General Meeting, and to debate issues of importance to their communities.
Trade and sponsorship opportunities
We offer a unique opportunity and cost-effective way for your business or organisation to network and communicate directly with local government decision makers.
What our sponsors say?
Brighter Super
Brighter Super’s partnership is about so much more than business: we both have the interests of more than 40,000 local government employees at heart and the great LGAQ team is genuinely interested in their – and our – welfare, and a pleasure to work with.
Telstra
The LGAQ hold events across the entire state of Queensland, bringing together all of our member councils at our biggest event of the year, the LGAQ Annual Conference. It is at the LGAQ Annual Conference that all Queensland councils come together to debate issues of importance to local communities.
