Educational opportunities in disaster management
Learn how to liaise with other organisations, manage projects, coordinate resources for a multi-agency incident, and manage recovery functions and services as you take the next step in advancing your emergency management professional development knowledge, skills and capability with the Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
The course consists of 10 units and is delivered online and via a residential workshop. The next course will commence in July.
Who can apply?
In the local government context, this training would be of particular interest to:
- local disaster coordinators
- disaster management practitioners.
It would be recommended that you have experience, volunteer or paid, within:
- an emergency service agency
- a federal or state government agency
- essential services
- NGOs (with an emergency management context would be an advantage).
