Reef councils unite

Published: 27th April 2018

This week, reef councils met with key stakeholders in Brisbane to discuss the challenges facing one of the world’s natural wonders; the Great Barrier Reef.

They discussed latest proposed policy, strategic responses and stressed the importance of working collaboratively to protect the reef’s future.

The talks are part of an LGAQ led program supporting councils'  work on innovative and impactful reef projects as well as relationships with strategic partners and investors.

The event  was also an opportunity for delegates to receive the latest information about the condition of the Great Barrier Reef and the policies and actions being undertaken through the Reef 2050 Plan.

See the video below to hear delegates talk about the reef and the value of the event.
