National General Assembly 2017: QLD Local Government Breakfast and Briefing

The LGAQ is holding its annual Queensland Local Government Breakfast and Briefing Session on Monday, 19 June 2017, in Canberra, to coincide with the Australian Local Government Association’s (ALGA) National General Assembly.

There is no cost for councils to attend the annual Queensland Local Government Breakfast and Briefing. To register (including any dietary requirements) please contact Ms Pam Toohey, Advocacy at or on 1300 542 700.

To allow for the early departure of Senator Nash, the breakfast will start from 6.45 for 7.00am to 8.45am on Monday 19 June 2017, at the National Convention Centre, Canberra.

It is proposed that the addresses be followed by a panel session for questions. The Breakfast will be an excellent opportunity for Queensland mayors, councillors and senior council staff to meet and informally discuss issues with the keynote speakers.

When:  Monday 19 June 2017, 6.45am
Where: The Swan/Torrens Rooms at the National Convention Centre, Canberra.

The LGAQ will provide commentary on ALGA NGA motions to assist Queensland delegates with debate. Motions including commentary will be available through an app developed by the LGAQ for the Queensland delegates attending the NGA.
