The LGAQ is currently reviewing the proposed amendments to telecommunication carrier powers and immunities law and welcomes member feedback by 16 December 2019.

Inquiry into Australia's waste and recycling industries

The inquiry will focus on opportunities presented by waste materials, including energy production, innovative recycling approaches and export opportunities, and will also consider current impediments to innovation. Due Friday, 17 January 2020.

IPWEAQ has released a proposed new Street Design Manual: Walkable Neighbourhoods, for public consultation until 20 December 2019.

Records relating to vulnerable people - your consultation is requested

The draft disposal authorisation and guideline will apply to ALL Queensland Public Authorities. Originally developed by State Archives to address issues of child wellbeing, it has been expanded to cover all vulnerable persons. Due 6 December 2019.

Proposed amendments to the Land Regulation 2009 - Have your say

The Land Regulation sets out operational details that are fundamental for dealings in state land (such as leasehold and trust land), and administering the Land Act 1994. Closing 6 December 2019.

Product Stewardship Amendment (Packaging and Plastics) Bill 2019 - Have your say!

The passing of this Bill will ensure packaging is truly recycled, putting the onus back on those who design and generate products, including shifting the cost of managing these materials at end-of-life to them from local government. Feedback required by Friday, 8 November 2019.

These updates have been prepared after considering feedback received and learnings gained since the current version was published. The documents will be finalised for publication after considering comments received by Tuesday 22 October 2019.
