Have your say on the Future Drought Fund
The LGAQ will be making a submission on the draft Drought Resilience Funding Plan released by the Federal Government. This plan is a high-level framework that will guide funding decisions for projects under the Future Drought Fund.
Commencing in July 2020, the Federal Government will fund $100 million each year in projects and activities to enhance the drought resilience of Australian farms and communities. Funded projects will:
enhance public good by building drought resilience
help farms and communities be more prepared to respond to the impacts of drought
lift the productivity and profitability of the agriculture sector
enhance the health and sustainability of Australia’s farming.
If you would like to provide input into the LGAQ submission, please contact Kirsten Pietzner, Lead – Regional Development. Contributions need to be provided to Kirsten by 6 December 2019.
