Assistant Minister for Cities and Digital Transformation Angus Taylor MP has joined an already impressive line-up of speakers at the LGAQ 2016 Future Cities Summit.

Mr Taylor, the Member for Hume, will represent the Federal Government at the conference, which features presentations by more than 20 civic, business and academic leaders.

“We’re pleased to be able to lock in Mr Taylor as a keynote speaker at this event, which will provide fascinating insights into the technologies, the ideas and thought processes, the trends and the people who will shape the cities of tomorrow,” LGAQ Acting CEO Greg Hoffman said.

The conference, themed “Looking Over the Horizon”, has secured international speakers including Amsterdam Smart City strategy advisor Frans Anton Vermast, Estonian digital consultant Raido Lember and US transport innovation expert Jim Whitty.

The Future Cities Summit will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 18-19 August.
