YAPA’s Refugee Youth Access Project aims to improve access and equity for refugee young people in NSW in the planning and delivery of government and non-government services, particularly in the development and implementation of policies in the delivery and planning of community, youth and ethnic services for refugee young people.

Project Title:  Migrant Youth Support Program

Project Details:
Youth Connexions has a Youth Development Officer to work specifically with CALD young people to support newly arrived migrant and refugee young people in their settlement in Australia.  The program provides information and assistance with:

  • What’s available in sports, clubs, study support groups, training courses, part-time or casual work 
  • Resume writing 
  • Problems at home or school
  • Feelings of homesickness 
  • School holiday activities
