4.3.1 Working Environment

4.3.1.1  The LGAQ supports the provision of a healthy and safe working environment and encourages the implementation of risk management and rehabilitation measures in Local Government.

4.3.1.2  The LGAQ supports the minimisation of environmental risks through relevant training measures in Local Government.

4.3.2 Workers Compensation

4.3.2.1  The LGAQ supports increased industry control of workers compensation arrangements in order to reduce costs and maximise service delivery.  Increased industry control involves the continuation of the ability to self-insure and the existence of fair and reasonable self-insurance licensing conditions.
