8.4.1 Service Access

8.4.1.1  Advances in technology should be applied to give remote areas access to normal telephone and television services.

8.4.1.2  Local Government across Queensland experiences significant inequities in mobile phone coverage between rural and urban communities.  Local Government will engage the State and Federal Governments to address this inequity.

8.4.1.3  Adequate local news and community information programs should be maintained in any restructuring of the national television network.
