FUTURE CITIES, SMART COMMUNITIES
Wed 11 - Fri 13 July 2018
Convention Centre, Cairns
Australia’s cities, suburbs and regional communities are home to over 75% of our highly urbanised population. How we plan for the immense challenges and opportunities of tomorrow is critical to the health, wealth and wellbeing of all citizens.
The 2018 Summit will unpack what it means to be a smart city and smart community, how transportation and asset management can be done differently, how we engage with our citizens, and how governments can plan for the disruptors.
In 2018, the Summit will include a Technology Showcase, demonstrating the latest innovations relevant to local government.
Building on the success of the Future Cities Summit 2016, we are expanding our platform for collaboration and learning and will bring together international, federal, state and local government leaders along with private sector champions who are leading the way in adopting new technology, new thinking and new public policy responses to the management of our urban communities.
